Registration for Summer Camp 2020 is now LIVE! We know the past couple months have been less than ideal. Your teenager has been through a shift in everything from routines and family life, to church and friendships.  At Summer Camp, we provide a distraction-free opportunity for your student to grow in their relationship with God - all while having a good time. Your student will experience high energy worship, relevant messages, deeper connections with other students and Ark Youth leaders. Our prayer is that your student will emerge from their camp experience with a renewed sense of identity and purpose.

When and where will camp take place?
Wednesday through Saturday, July 15th - July 18th, 2020. The camp will be held at Carolina Creek Christian Camps located in at 89 Wimberly Way, Huntsville, Texas.

Who is eligible to go to camp?
Students who have completed 6th - 12th grades in the 2019- 2020 school year. Please register your student in the grade he or she just completed.

What will students do at camp?
Students will engage in several worship services, relevant and informative breakout sessions, and small group discussions. They will also have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities such as zip lines, a water cable park, rock climbing, and ropes courses. In addition, there will also be friendly competition and creative games throughout camp.

What are the check-in and pick-up times for camp?
Check-in will open at The Ark Church at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15th. Buses leave at 4:00pm. Pick up will be 12:15 pm on Saturday, July 18th at The Ark Church in Conroe. Students will be riding to and from camp on buses.

What if my student cannot attend the entire camp?
The camp services build upon one another. It is recommended that your student attends camp in its entirety. However, if your student will arrive late or leave early, please email arkyouthh@thearkchurch.com.

Are scholarships available?
The cost of this four-day camp is $400. Due to the generosity of our church and donors, it is being offered to you for $99. If additional financial assistance is needed, please email arkyouth@thearkchurch.com.

Will parents receive any updates throughout the event weekend?
We’ll be posting pictures, videos, and various information via Instagram and The Ark Youth Youtube Channel. For updates, follow Ark Youth: @arkyouth_.

Can my student bring his/her cell phone?
To provide a distraction-free environment that helps students fully engage in the weekend getaway, we ask that phones be left at home. If you need to contact your student in the event of an emergency, call Nadia Clayton at 936-703-4255.

Are pranks allowed?
In an effort to create a great environment for every student to connect with God, pranks are prohibited. Violation of this will require parent pickup from camp in Huntsville.

What items should my student bring with them?
Bible, journal, and pen
Money for the snack shack (Items range from $1 to $35)
Towel, washcloth, and flip-flops for the shower
Pajamas and plenty of undergarments
Casual clothing (weather-appropriate)
Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
Pillow and twin bedding or sleeping bag
House Wars team color attire
House Party Themed Outfit – 90's Grunge
Deodorant
Shampoo
Hairbrush or comb
Body soap
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Dark colored shirt for water wars
Prescription or over the counter medicines must be in a ziplock baggie labeled with your student’s name and grade

Will there be a parent info meeting?
Yes! More information will be available pertaining to this meeting as we approach camp.

How will students be arranged in cabins?
Students will be arranged in cabins according to age and gender. There will be at least two adult leaders per cabin. We aim to place your student in a cabin with at least one friend. You can submit friend rooming requests in the registration form. Cabin assignments are final and cannot be changed.

What does the registration payment include?
Registration includes transportation, lodging, meals, and activity costs for the duration of camp. Students are welcome to bring money to buy snacks in our camp store.

What if my student has dietary restrictions, allergies, or a medical condition that would prevent them from attending?

Can I cancel my registration or get a refund?
All registration is nonrefundable. However, you may transfer your registration to the scholarship fund that to help students who may not otherwise be able to attend.  

When will I find out my student’s team color?
You will be notified of team color the Friday before camp. Team colors are final and cannot be changed.
